Last of the standing figures to be created, Eve concentrates all of the themes that are dear to its creator.

Thus, the figure is portrayed before the spectator: immobile, she is, however, ready to move. The heels of her shoes seem to hardly touch the ground, her thin, knobby calves give an idea of her endurance, and her bust, slightly withdrawn, seems to concentrate before moving. Strong and tense, this woman communicates benevolence and closeness.

The process of “laying on” the modeling material, of a formidable precision, reinforces the ductile aspect of the material, but also the compactness of this body mass that absorbs the light. This technique was appreciated by Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966).
